INTRO

VM Logistics was founded 20 years ago by Bert van Meel, who demonstrated great foresight by entering the growing market of circular logistics. 15 years later, the company was acquired by entrepreneur Pieter Goevaers, who has dedicated his experience and network since 2016 to the further expansion of the business.

Recently, aim entrepreneur Willem De Pesseroey took over the helm from Pieter Goevaers, with the clear intention of continuing to build on the circular success story that VM Logistics is actively writing.

COMPANY PROFILE

VM Logistics is an expert in recycling logistics and plays a key role in the circularity of raw materials. The focus lies primarily on plastics, paper, and rubber.

The goods handled by VM Logistics primarily originate as by-products from production processes, or are goods that did not meet the required quality standards. Through VM Logistics, our clients successfully reintegrate these goods back into new production environments as efficiently as possible. To support this, VM Logistics provides services such as packaging, repackaging, sorting, baling, grinding, and shredding.

VM Logistics has approximately 40,000 square meters of storage capacity at a strategically advantageous location along the E19 in Meer (Hoogstraten), situated between the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam.

POST-ACQUISITION

Increasing European regulations, such as the Green Deal, alongside heightened social awareness among consumers, have put the recycling economy right at the top of the priority list. The Green Deal sets out several ambitious European recycling targets, such as requiring 50% of plastic packaging to be recycled by 2025.

As a crucial link in the ESG-inspired recycling cycle and the resulting circular economy, we want to work together with Willem to secure a bright future for VM Logistics.
